What Postgraduate awards do you offer?
Leading Education Enquiry I and II, Leading Educational Change and Improvement, Policy Strategy and Resources and Creating and Sustaining Learning Cultures are all available for study towards a Postgraduate Certificate.
Students opting to omit the final dissertation or project will be awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Leadership and Innovation where they have successfully met all other requirements.
What entry qualifications do I need?
Candidates are normally expected to hold a good honours degree (second class or above) and have a minimum of two years professional experience in teaching or education management/administration. Applications are also welcome from those with substantial professional experience who do not possess traditional academic qualifications. Please contact the Course Director for further details.
Can I seek accreditation for prior learning?
Accreditation for prior learning is possible by negotiation. NPQH, LPSH and LftM qualifications gained within the last 5 years may be accredited to the MA course in Educational Leadership and Innovation. Please contact the Course Director for further details.
How long is the course?
The course can be undertaken on a full-time basis over a one year period. The course is also available to study on a part-time basis and this normally takes two to three years. Modules for this course are delivered through evening sessions and daytime workshops.
How am I assessed?
Each module is assessed by means of written assignments of 5,000 words. The MA is completed upon submission of a 20,000 word thesis/professional project in the final year of study.
